Knoxville Baby Photography- Dalton is 2 months old

January 27, 2011

Have you ever just clicked with someone you just met? That is exactly the feeling I got when meeting Shena and Mac (Dalton’s Mommy and Daddy).

Dalton’s session was a blast. We laughed, listened to some great music and most importantly, captured some great memories. Dalton is a doll; I really can’t wait to introduce him to you. He is one week shy of 3 months and his little personality is showing already.

As soon as I put my camera down Shena and I starting talking about future sessions. Boy, are you in for some great photos!! We see farms, red wagons, red bicycles, overalls, Strasburg Jon Jons, antique rattles, etc. in the future for Mr. Dalton. You name it, we were talking about it. Shena promised to get me that amazing mix of songs we enjoyed during the session and I will certainly pass them on to you in one of my future blog posts. But until then here is sweet little Dalton…

Back to the shoot and this is probably my favorite from the entire session.

“I am not really sure if I want to smile at you yet,” thought Dalton. ;)

.

.

I just love his sweet eyes.

Family time. Aren’t they a good looking family?

*LOVE*

Well, I guess we wore the little cutie out.

Thanks Shena, Mac and Dalton for a great session! See you guys soon!

Knoxville Baby Photography- Welcome to the world Garrett!

January 25, 2011

I woke up this morning to a wonderful text message- Garrett has arrived!  He weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces and he was 19 inches long. He “officially” arrived at 10:37am. Congrats to Kriston & Jason on their wonderful blessing!! And I can’t forget to congratulate Garrett’s big sister Ellison (whom I like to call Elli bug).  Not too long ago I photographed the entire Wilson family waiting for Garrett and you can check that out here –> Waiting for Garrett.

Make sure you stay tuned, because Garrett’s official newborn session will be up in the next couple of weeks. Enjoy!

A couple of details of Garrett’s big day!

.

Okay, I do believe Kriston is the best looking woman, I have ever seen, that just gave birth!!! Doesn’t she look amazing?!?

.

.

.

Is that a little smile?!?  :)

This certainly not a smile…aaaahhhhh!

.

Sweet baby hands

Today was a great day; a blessing was born and I got to meet him on his first day of being in this world. Thanks for letting me be a small part of your lives Kriston and Jason!

See you both soon!!

Knoxville Wedding Photography- Lacey + Phillip

December 12, 2010

Hello everyone and thank you so much for stopping by to view Lacey and Phil’s big day! Their wedding was the last wedding of 2010 for me and with every wedding I do, I was so honored to be able to capture their big day. Lacey and Phil are from Louisiana and came to the Great Smoky Mountains to get married. They told me that they thought this was one of the most beautiful places in the world and I would have to agree! Both Lacey and Phil’s families were exactly what I would have expected a cajun family to be- kind, welcoming and gracious. They laughed, they cried and they partied like no other!

Before we get to the photos, I have to thank one of my closest friends and one of the best photographers I know… Danielle Hope (of Hope Photography). She was my second shooter for the day and really that title should be co-shooter, because she did such an amazing job. Thanks Dee!

.

.

.

Well, speaking of Danielle, here is her awesome-ness in action with the dress shot…

Details…

I don’t think I mentioned this above, but Lacey and Phil got married at The Preserve in Sevierville, TN.

.

Rockin’ the rings!

Oh, and did I mention that they got married on 10/16?

.

.

.

.

Phil getting groomed one last time before he walks down the isle…

.

.

I LOVE the look on Lacey’s face. If this is not happiness, then I don’t know what is!

Phil seeing Lacey for the first time…

Daddy/daughter kiss… so sweet!

.

.

.

…you may kiss the bride.

.

.

After the wedding we took a little time for some portraits. I don’t think this time away from guests will be regretted. What do you think?

.

.

Check out this mountain view!

.

.

.

This next AUH-MAAAA-ZING photo is brought to you by the sun-flare queen herself, Danielle….

I love an “almost” kiss!

.

.

.

.

.

Okay, okay. Enough with the portraits… I can tell someone is getting bored.

.

.

.

.

.

The first dance…

.

.

.

.

.

You know it’s going to be a great father/daughter dance when it starts like this…

Mama watching Daddy and their daughter…. *tear*

.

.

.

Mother/son dance….

(This dance, at every single wedding I photograph, makes me tear up. I think about dancing at Wyatt’s wedding one day. Okay, tearing up again)

LOVE. THIS. MOMENT.

.

.

.

Alright, let the party begin!

.

.

.

Like father….

.

.

.

Like son…

.

.

.

.

.

And the final photo of the night…

Thank you so much Lacey and Phil!! I had a blast photographing your big day!! I wish you two the very best and tell those great families of your’s I said hello!
